The Solvent Division consists of the Industrial Solvents Department. and the Ketone & Alcohol Department. Focusing primarily on organic solvents, we collaborate with domestic and overseas petrochemical manufacturers to supply basic raw materials to a wide range of industries.

Ketone & Alcohol Dept.

Ketone alcohols are widely used as basic raw materials in a variety of products, including paints, inks, and adhesives. Our division ensures both stable supply and high quality through transactions with petrochemical manufacturers both domestically and internationally, and leverages the market analysis capabilities of the Mitsui & Co. Group to conduct business globally. We boast the number one market share in Japan and support the foundation of the chemical industry.
Industrial Solvent Dept.

Organic solvents, which dissolve chemical substances, have a wide range of applications such as paints, inks, and adhesives, and are basic raw materials used in many familiar places. We have the largest market share in Japan, with a full lineup of solvents distributed both domestically and overseas. We mainly deal with domestic and overseas petrochemical manufacturers. In addition, we develop global transactions based on market trends and advanced market analysis skills by making full use of Mitsui Group’s network. Solvents are the leading commercial product of Mitsui Bussan Chemicals in terms of both transaction volume and sales, supporting various industries around the world.
