Performance Materials Div.

The Performance Materials Division consists of the Coating Chemicals Department and the Advanced Chemicals Department. We engage in diverse fields, including coatings, electronic materials, adhesives, functional additives, battery materials, and thermal paper materials. Taking advantage of our proposal-based sales that meet market needs, we contribute to technological innovation, including digital transformation, and the resolution of social issues through business development in Japan and overseas.

Coating Chemicals Dept.

We have been deeply involved in the coating industry supply chain, contributing to Japan’s manufacturing. Through market development, product development, raw material supply, and other related matters, we work closely with our customers to thoroughly address their needs and challenges, providing support for new business developments. In addition to proposals that leverage the Mitsui & Co. Group’s network, we contribute to the development of both domestic and international markets based on the knowledge we have cultivated through many years of involvement in the coating industry.
Advanced Chemicals Dept.

The Advanced Chemicals Department focuses its sales activities on growth areas, creating new value for society and contributing to the development of a prosperous society and technological innovation. Leveraging our specialized knowledge, we respond to and propose solutions for customer needs, executing forward-looking sales strategies. As key focus areas, we promote initiatives centered on adhesives and raw materials for battery components/peripheral components, electronic materials for the realization of an IoT society, and initiatives aligned with the SDGs, striving to become an organization recognized by customers for its functionality.
