Kansai Branch and Kyushu Branch Message

Shinya Kameyama Image

The Osaka Branch and Fukuoka Branch aim to be good, fast, and close solution providers that help customers solve their problems and other issues. “Good” means expertise based on the business scene, “fast” means agility to act quickly, and “close” means the nearest and most convenient trading company in the customer’s area. We want to be the company chosen by customers based on these three points.

Further, while closely collaborating with local businesses, we have an advantage of having access to a variety of countries and industries through the Mitsui Group’s global network. As business development in the VUCA era is rarely achieved solely within the chemical industry/domain, the situation where we cooperate and collaborate with related companies and organizations in the Group to solve issues is increasing.

In the Kansai region, the World Expo will be held in Osaka in 2025, and in the Kyushu region, plants for semiconductors, which are said to be rice of industry, have been launched one after another, which makes the next three years exciting and important. Taking advantage of this opportunity, as a trading company rooted in the region, we will focus on overlooked unique and superior technologies and services in each area and actively work with our customers to create businesses that are not yet in the world and will become seeds of complete change.

Through these efforts, we aim to be a company that our customers and business partners can rely on and about which they can say, “Good things happen when doing business with Mitsui Bussan Chemicals.”

The Nagoya Branch is based in Nagoya City, Aichi Prefecture, and embodies matrix management that consists of product and regional axes, which is Mitsui Bussan Chemicals’ basic management policy. We work to create businesses by organically linking our regional axis, which focuses on the Chubu region, the product axis, which is based on the policies of the Head Office and other branches and collaboration with them, and the customer axis, which is based on the needs of our customers.

The Tokai region has a national share of nearly 10% in various economic indicators such as population and regional gross domestic product, and is said to be a “10% economic zone,” but its product shipment value stands out at 64.6 trillion yen (20%) out of 323 trillion yen nationwide (Tokyo area: 15.9%, Osaka area: 12.7%). This is because the Tokai region is the center of the automobile and aircraft industries as a concentration of manufacturing.

The Nagoya Branch aims to use this regional characteristic to benefit our business partners by handling products such as our main force solvents including toluene and xylene, urethane raw materials for automobile interiors, surfactants, paint resins, and other products. We will also utilize the Mitsui Group’s comprehensive capabilities to assist with management issues related to the SDGs, including addressing carbon neutrality. We will actively take on the challenge of trade operations in the future, so that we can respond to stable procurement and overseas development of products with unique and superior technologies in the face of increasing uncertainty.

If you have any problems or are considering a new project, please place an order with us at our Nagoya Branch.
