What the Coating Chemicals Office aims to achieve
In the coating industry, the Coating Chemicals Dept. is good at offering proposals to create added value by adding extra effort to products, and provides ideas that can adapt to the rapidly changing environment. The Coating Chemicals Dept. of the Tokyo Business Unit is an industry influencer that is actively expanding the technologies developed here to overseas markets, providing niche ideas to global, anticipating trends in the coating industry, and making multifaceted proposals for customer demand.
Resins, pigments, additives, solvents, monomers, etc., that make up coatings and ink are affected by various factors such as withdrawal of manufacturers, product integration, and price hikes, while there are growing demands for the development of environmentally friendly products and the use of biomass materials. While we strive to sell raw materials with an eye toward alternative products, we also keep an eye on new materials and are always ready to introduce raw materials to meet the needs of our customers.
Good for the environment, good for people, good for the future, a new earth-friendly “three-way” policy
Plant-derived raw materials, biomass, de-petroleum, de-carbonization, environment and earth-friendly, etc. As people are calling for symbiosis between raw materials and the environment with the future of the earth in mind, we are also dealing with a variety of raw materials. We strive to contribute to our customers’ development of new products based on the theme of various possibilities, such as imported rice oil fatty acids, various vegetable oils, alternative materials to plastics, “green chemical” products with less environmental impact and recycling of waste materials, and being friendly to the earth and human beings.
Ink and raw material manufacturers to overseas markets!
The Coating Chemicals Dept. promotes sales of products developed independently by coating, ink and raw material manufacturers that are our customers, develops their technologies and selects overseas partners, and provides other support. Recently, we have focused on infrastructure development and environmentally friendly products, which are in great demand, and we have been expanding excellent Japanese original technology overseas through presentations at government offices and overseas business matching conferences, as well as negotiations with overseas local governments.
From unique raw materials such as next-generation photocatalysts and limonite. We create something from nothing!
We are constantly working to create something from nothing through collaboration with our customers by acquiring various raw materials such as new photocatalysts, limonite (loess), which had limited applications, and various plant-derived raw materials that meet the demand for biomass materials. As a trading company, we work with our customers to create products that have never been produced before. This is the real pleasure of “Beyond Chemical.” Would you like to take the first step toward a product you haven’t seen yet with us?
Challenges for the future with a view to business withdrawal and restructuring within the industry
Business withdrawal within the industry and industry restructuring have been increasing recently. There are various backgrounds, including profitability issues, declining demand, and aging facilities. The Coating Chemicals Dept. strives every day to ensure that both manufacturers and users can continue their businesses with peace of mind by preparing for the coming future in a variety of ways. These include matching service for contract chemical manufacturing, such as outsourcing of manufacturers’ products, introduction of products that meet customer needs, and inventory sales for overseas products.
